This year's competition would return to the exclusive Chrysler Museum Theater in Downtown Norfolk Virginia.  We were pleased to return as in 2014 we had the hiccup with the sound system and they promised this would NEVER happen again and it did not.  The competition would be on the first Sunday in June. This would become the official weekend for MMI's future endeavors.  I personally found the first weekend of June was an open weekend and there were no other MAJOR events so this was a perfect decision.

 

Kimora's aka Stevie Beats opening would be (UPSETTING THE GALAXY).  The formers would come from different galaxies in very fashionable attire with a dance mix lead by Kimora.

 

Taejah had told me three times she was going to compete for MMI and this year she finally came.  I was very fond of her and it was great to see her compete.  She would wear a red velvet sweetheart cut with a trumpet bottom for presentation.  She would further wear a futuristic look for the runway, ironically with a mask and we're all wearing them today.  She would of course dance so severe for talent as if she wasn't competing you would call her back for an encore.  SHE BECAME MISS MODELS INC 2016 with Tiffany Starr as 1st Atl, winning two categories.

 

All the young ladies who competed were excellent and thanks again everyone who competed.  Taejah along with her daughter, Nina LaBelle Thomas would meet at my home the next day for contract signing and I knew then this would be a reign to enjoy.  She would become my final #TOP5MMI.  She had to leave for Atlanta on that morning as she was a part of the cast (STARS OF THE CENTURY).  She made it to Atlanta safely and performed for the very first time as our new representative while looking stunningly beautiful I might add. 

 

Her photo shoot would be done twice because I used a photographer I had never used before but was impressed with his work and I will not mention his name but it was not a pleasant experience and after paying a very healthy fee, I did not have the money's worth and he did not know how to edit.  Now I find it a waste of time to have a photographer who does not know how to edit/graphics. I would also once again call on call on Travoris Adams for graphic assistance along with Leonard Holton

 

I would make contact with Kendoll Brinkley Brown as I had used him before and he would rescue the day.  WHAT A WONDERFUL PERSON TO WORK WITH.  I've had a chance to work with many photographers within this 20 years of MMI and some I'll NEVER use again because often after they get their payment they begin to act SHADY.  I TAKE MY WORK ELSEWHERE because you can't treat me UNPROFESSIONAL and expect me to treat you as such. 

 

What is enjoyable about her would be her wit, attention to detail, beautiful spirit, fun natured and just an all-around genuine person.  I SO LOVE THIS LADY.  Now I'm one who does not like to book my representative without offering the proper accommodations so more than often I offer travel and hotel accommodations. SHE NEVER ONE TIME WANTED TO FLY as she prefers to drive.  I would offer her gas assistance and hotel accommodations of which periodically she would say yes but often would do it at her own expense.  YOU DON'T FIND REPRESENTATIVES LIKE THIS as they will often burn you out.  Thank you for being so giving because it just made me give more. 

 

I recall the first time she came back to Virginia for her first tour.  She would come back in with flowers and a card of which I still have today and was just showing gratitude.  I'VE NEVER FORGOTTEN THIS as it meant a lot.  She would go on to work many Tours, National appearances and the likes off. SHE'S A PROFESSIONAL AND REFUSES TO BE LATE. This is my kind of girl.

If you ever wonder how I can remember a lot of these places because often I write things down so this is how I come up with accurate numbers but with this particular young lady I simply lost count after 12 walks and 24 bookings. I remember she once stated to quit her job because she was working so much as MMI while making a nice income as she wanted to be available at all times. THIS REALLY BAFFLED ME but it just showed how confident and committed she was in MMI.  She also just does not jump in competitions so when she competes she really wants to be a part.

 

I have so many memories of which I would be writing all day because her performances were just out of this world.  I WOULD HAVE PEOPLE COME UP TO ME CONSTANTLY TELLING ME HOW MUCH THEY ENJOYED HER.  I remember she was in Washington DC and was booked for a private event while working at ZIGS and this just doesn't happen by chance.  These were heterosexual individuals that wanted to book her for their event the next day. 

 

 I will end here because you all will again be reading all day.  PLEASE JUST KNOW SHE IS AT THE TOP OF MY LIST OF REIGNS OF ALL TIMES.  Now just think she never competed again as Taejah and went on to do what many have tried and but not too successful as competing as a male contestant. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF HOW EXTRAVAGANT (HE CAN BE) as EVERYONE would agree we can take you anyway.
